On
June 28, Dan Verschage and Melody Dagle of Grede Subsidiaries, LLC (the foundry) of
Browntown presented a check for $1000 to Sharon Buri and Lucy Roper, co-chairs of the
Friends Of Cadiz Springs playground project. We
are very grateful for such a generous donation! We have also recently received a $500 donation from
Precision Drive and Control, Inc..
Other $1000 donors have been
Wal-Mart and Colony Brands. We
also very much appreciate the recent donations from Carl and Michelle Huschitt, Woodford
State Bank, and Zweifel Construction.
Thank
You!
More
than 58,000 people visited Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area in 2010, and more than 60,000
came in 2009. But the only playground equipment
in the park is four swings. Friends of Cadiz
Springs SRA feels that additional playground equipment would attract more families to the
park, make their time more enjoyable, and benefit businesses and our entire
community. Our goal is to raise $75,000 by next
spring and begin construction of the playground area near the beach. We also have plans for additional playground equipment
near the swings and the east shelter house.
You can help:
if you know of any
businesses, individuals or organizations that would like more information about the
playground project, please contact Bryan Buri at 608-966-1515, or email
info@cadizsprings.com. Friends Of Cadiz Springs
State Recreation Area is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
Donations of any amount are
appreciated! Gifts of $100 or more will be
acknowledged on a plaque near the new playground. The four levels of giving are:
Owl:
$100-$499
Crane: $500-$999
Osprey:
$1000-$4999
Eagle: $5000 and
above
